A Magic Transformation By Scaling and Composite Veneer

A Magic Transformation By Scaling and Composite Veneer

Mr. Su fears dentists. Well, who is not scared of dentists anyway?

However, his level of phobia to see a dentist is somehow much higher than most people. He would try anything to avoid getting to a dental clinic.

The wife is a doctor, and she knew that her beloved husband needs help.

As they are staying across the road from the clinic, seeing the clinic day in and out made her determined that this is the time to visit a dentist.

Hence, Mr. Su was accompanied by his beloved wife to the clinic for consultation.

The first time when I met the couple, the main focus was to understand what is holding Mr. Su back from getting his treatment. Also, the meeting focus in what are the concerns that are bothering him and what is the expectation from the couples.

Introduction Of Composite Veneers

Composite veneers are a minimally invasive dental restoration procedure that can be used to improve the appearance of teeth. They are made from a composite resin material and are applied directly to the surface of the tooth. Composite veneers are a great solution for people who want to quickly and easily improve their smile without the need for extensive dental work. They can be used to correct misalignment, chips, discoloration, and other aesthetic issues. Composite veneers are also more affordable than other veneer options, making them a great option for those on a budget.

The Reason Why You Need Composite Veneers

Composite veneers offer a number of benefits for those seeking to improve the appearance of their teeth. This cosmetic dental procedure can be used to repair chipped, cracked, discolored, and misshapen teeth, as well as to correct gaps between teeth. Composite veneers are also more affordable than traditional porcelain veneers, making them a great option for those looking to make cosmetic improvements to their smile without breaking the bank. Additionally, composite veneers can be applied in just one office visit, making them a quick and convenient way to enhance your smile. With composite veneers, you can enjoy a beautiful, natural-looking smile that is sure to boost your confidence and make you look and feel your best.

Based on the conversation, Mr. Su was feeling:

  1. Discomfort in certain areas of the mouth
  2. Sensitive sensation in certain areas of the mouth

iii. Bleeding gum

  1. Bad breath
  2. Appearance
  3. Color of the teeth

We took some photos for recording before we started anything.

From the picture, we could identify two major problems:

  1. Gum problem

Gum problems in the mouth can range from mild to severe and can have a variety of causes. These can include improper brushing and flossing, poor diet, and certain medications. Symptoms of gum problems include red, swollen, and tender gums, receding gums, bleeding gums, and bad breath. It is important to take steps to address gum problems as soon as you noticed, as they can lead to more serious issues such as tooth decay and gum disease. Regular brushing and flossing, a balanced diet, and regular visits to the dentist can help prevent gum problems. Additionally, if you are taking medications that may be causing gum problems, it is important to speak to your doctor about alternative options.

  1. Discolored old fillings and cavities

Old fillings and cavities can cause discoloration due to the breakdown of the material over time. This can occur due to a number of factors, such as age, wear and tear, and improper care. For example, if an old filling is not properly sealed, bacteria can enter the cavity and cause discoloration. Additionally, if the filling material is not of the highest quality, it can degrade more quickly and cause discoloration. In order to avoid discoloration, it is important to ensure that fillings are properly sealed and that the best quality filling material is used.

Mr. Su’s concern about discomfort and sensitive sensation is mainly due to a gum problem that had caused bone loss and gum recession.

On top of that, as the plaque and calculus remain in the gum, the gum is constantly undergoing inflammation and hence causing gum bleeding and bad breath.

As for the appearance and color of the teeth, we need to redo some fillings and composite veneers at certain parts to improve the appearance of the teeth.

After the first round of cleaning, immediately Mr Su appears neat and much more pleasant compared to before.

We then proceed to do some cosmetic fillings and composite veneers to help Mr. Su achieve his dream smile.

Mr. Su was very delighted with the result. He did not expect that his dream smile could be achieved by just these two simple procedures. For the scaling, he did feel some discomfort due to the sensitive sensation. However, it was very bearable for him as we did it base on his own acceptance level and we make it really gentle for him.

He was really amazed that he was able to go through the whole process of scaling and polishing without much stress. Before we send him off, we make sure Mr. Su understands that dental procedures may not necessarily need to be a painful process. With careful planning and understanding of his concerns and needs, we could make the proper treatment plan for him.

For Mr. Su, the equally important thing is his everyday oral health maintenance. We make sure to motivate and guide Mr. Su what are the relevant steps in order to keep his oral hygiene at tip-top condition. Last but not least, attending regular check-ups and cleaning is the key to maintaining a beautiful smile. If you are looking for a gentle care service or looking for a solution to improve your smile, do send us your inquiry and we are more than happy to assist you.

Thank you.
